Used educational technologies
Distance learning format is realized using case, net and TV technologies
1 The widely spread technology is case technology.
2 Usage of net technology allows to provide learners with access to study materials and other educational resources. As in traditional form of education the teacher who conducts this or that discipline works out the program, defines the timetable and tasks deadlines. All the materials are put on the distance learning portal – www.dl.uib.kz. Access to the material is via login and password formed in registration and enrollment to course.
3 Auditorium classes are conducted using TV technologies. At the moment University of International Business uses communication channel which connects all distance learning centers. Classes on –line are conducted simultaneously in five cities of Kazakhstan – Astana, Aktobe, Kostanay, Shymkent, Ust – Kamrnogorsk.

Each of the students sees on the screen the lecturer and can ask a question in any moment. At the same time students can communicate not only with the lecturer. Connection means allow also to maintain intercommunication of students among themselves in different cities – to conduct business games and prepare group projects.
Distance learning technologies used in educational process meet the demands defined by RK State standard 34.016 - 2004 «Distance learning technical and program means».
As a matter of fact, distance learning is individualized and supposes large amount of independent work. The whole system is based on strict accountability and tough control of tasks fulfillment. A student does a large amount of independent work, delivers lectures, does the tasks, takes tests. Lecture and practical training material (including video lectures) for independent work (tasks, questions for discussion off –line (forum), on – line testing, on – line theme discussion are put on distance learning portal.
Every learner has to understand that distance learning form is not only reading lectures in electronic form but is an integral process including independent work on individual task fulfillment, work in forum, letters exchange and on – line communication both with teachers and other students.
The integrated commutative block in distance form is that students attend on – line classes and consultations in tutor’s rooms.
A teacher’s role: distance learning form entrust the teacher with such functions as cognitive process coordination, taught course correction, study project control etc. He/she manages the groups, helps learners in their professional self-determination etc. As a rule in distance learning form the asynchronous interaction between the teacher and learners supposes information exchange in written form via internet. It helps to analyze the coming information and respond to it at convenient for students’ time.
Education quality control: organized on – line examinations, interviews, practical works, course works and projects are used as forms of control. It’s essential to note that to solve the problem of distance learning quality control, its relevance to educational standards is crucial for further distance learning form development.
Technologies and means of education usage: distance learning technologies is the aggregate of methods, forms and means of interaction between students and teachers in the process of independent but controlled mastering of definite amount of knowledge. Educational technology must meet the country’s educational standards.
