About specialities of magistracy faculty of postgraduate vocational training (FPVT)

The University of International Business invites you to receive profound specialisation at the faculty of postgraduate vocational training in magistracy:

• scientific and pedagogical direction (2 years of training) under the state and corporate grants and on a paid-contractual basis;
• profile direction (1 year of training) under the state and corporate grants and on a paid-contractual basis.

TYPICAL RULES OF ENTERING TO MAGISTRACY

Terms of enrolment of entrants to magistracy:

• documents acceptance begins from June, 15th and ends  July, 30th of the current year.
• entrance examinations to  magistracy are held from August, 1st to  August, 20th of the current year.
• enrolment to magistracy is made by the Selection committee till September, 1st of the current year.

Entrance examinations to magistracy:

• foreign language (English, French, German) is held in the form of testing in base university (approximate tests can be found on a site of ME&S of RК or you could address in dean's office of postgraduate vocational training at UIB)
• major subject (in the chosen direction of preparation) is held at UIB by the Subject Selection committee which is formed from leading scientists-economists of university.

 

REQUISITES  FOR  PAYMENT  OF  OBLIGATORY  DUES  FOR  ENTRANCE EXAMINATIONS  TO  MAGISTRACY

 

 

The list of documents for enrolment:

1. an application addressed to the head of the organisation;
2. notarized copies of documents on higher education;
3. a personal form of personnel and notarized copy of  work record if exists ;
4. six photos size 3,5x4,5;
5. a medical certificate # 086;
6. an ID card copy;
7. TRN (copy);
8. a reference;
9. a copy of pre-conscription certificates (for young men).

Requirements to the background of entrants to magistracy:

Previous educational level of the entrants, wishing to master magistracy educational programs – a bachelor degree, the higher or postgraduate education.

Grants on training on magistracy programs:

Университету международного бизнеса ежегодно предоставляются государственные образовательные гранты для поступающих в магистратуру научно-педагогического и профильного направлений.

Competition «Zhas talapker» after  Kenzhegali Abenovich Sagadiev

The university allocates in Almaty:

• 2 (two) nominal grants for 100 % discount or  4 (four) nominal grants for 50 % discount for  2 (two) years of training at UIB, for entrants on 1 (the first) course of  magistracy of  scientific and pedagogical and profile direction on full-time tuition, evening department.
• 2 (two) nominal grants for 50 %  discount for 1 (one) year of training at UIB, for entrants  on 1(the first)  course of  magistracy of scientific and pedagogical and profile direction on full-time tuition, evening department.

The university allocates for DLCR:

• 1 (one) nominal grant from 100 % the discount or allocates 2 (two) nominal grants from 50 % with the discount for 1 (one) year of training in УМБ, for entrants arriving on 1 course of a magistracy on remote technology of training.
• 1 (one) nominal grant from 50 % the discount for 1 (one) year of training in УМБ, for entrants arriving on 1 course of a magistracy on remote technology of training.

For entrants-participants of competition following conditions and criteria of selection are established:

• persons having bachelor degree or the higher vocational training;
• average point of progress upon termination of the higher educational institution, should be not less than 3,67 (at four-mark system of  knowledge estimation) at training on credit technology, there should not be satisfactory estimations in the appendix to the diploma;
• presence of  high results on entrance examinations to  magistracy, an "excellent" mark on the foreign language test and an "excellent" mark on major;
• the preference is given to persons of inclined to scientific and both pedagogical activity and having scientific publications in the form of theses, reports, articles, bench reports and newspaper notes; participating in scientific conferences, creative the competitions confirmed with corresponding documents (certificates).
• ablity to speak state language (Kazakh) and foreign languages (notarized copies of the corresponding official certificates,  established form on  passing of examination on state and  foreign language) is desirable;
• desire to continue the professional work after the termination of  magistracy as a teacher at University of  International Business.

Stages of competition «HBU Zhas talapkeri / Young researcher of UIB»:

1. From July, 1st till July, 30th of the current year – handing in an application to magistracy (according to Typical rules of application to  magistracy of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Confirmed by the order of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan on April, 1st, 2008 N161). 
2. From August, 1st  till August, 20th of the current year – passing of entrance examinations to magistracy of  scientific and pedagogical and profile direction by participants of competition (on two examinations: foreign language and major in the chosen direction) and defining the results of entrance examinations in accordance with  the Typical rules of application to magistracy of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan 
3. From July, 1st till July, 30th of the current year  filing in application for  participation in competition;
4. During the period from August, 22 till August, 25th of the current year – interview with UIB management and  summarizing of competition results « HBU Zhas talapkeri / Young researcher of UIB» and defining of the winner (100 %  discount) or two winners (50 %  discount) on grant gaining for two years training  in  magistracy of  scientific and pedagogical direction. 
5. On August, 31st of the current year enrollment to magistracy of  scientific and pedagogical direction on the corporate grant and entrance issuing.

Nominal grants of Honourable UIB president K.A. Sagadiev  is given for two academic years, but can be reconsidered by the  results of mid-term tests of the current session of corresponding educational semestre.

For participation in competition the applicant submits to the committee of magistracy of UIB:

• application for competition on the form of the established sample (the appendix 1) 
• the diploma of higher educational institution (original)
• the original of certificates of MEandS of RК of the established form on  passing  a foreign language examination
• copies of certificates, diplomas and other similar documents
• a receipt on payment for testing on  foreign language
• a receipt on payment for entrance examination on major
• a medical certificate #086
• six photos size 3х4 sm
• 2 copies of ID card
• a copy of pre-conscription certificates (for young men).

Documents represented in foreign language, should be notarially certified translation into the Kazakh or Russian languages.

Скидки и стипендии

Университет представляет следующие виды скидок за обучение для магистрантов очно-вечерней формы обучения, магистрантов обучающихся по дистанционной технологии обучения на текущий учебный год:

      5 % скидка для магистрантов научно-педагогического и профильного направления,
которые оплачивают всю сумму за обучение за год до начала занятий в течение первых двух
недель с момента начала занятий (дата определяется на основании графика учебного
процесса);

    5% скидка для, абитуриентов поступивших в магистратуру научно-педагогического и профильного направления, имеющих " дипломы с отличием по предыдущим образовательным программам (бакалавриат, специалист);

      5% скидка для магистрантов 2 курса научно-педагогического направления, имеющих
высокий рейтинг успеваемости по итогам учебного года не менее 3.67;

   7% скидка для магистрантов профильного и научно-педагогического направления первой степени родства ( муж. жена, братья, сестры).

    10% корпоративная скидка для магистрантов, в количестве 3 и более человек из одного стороннего ВУЗа, окончивших университет в одном учебном году или из одной компании, скидка предоставляется каждому из представителей ВУЗа или компании после выхода приказа о зачислении всех этих лиц в магистратуру научно-педагогического или профильного направления в текущем учебном году:

    Для магистрантов, привлекших в результате профориентационной работы три и более человек для обучения в УМБ вне зависимости от формы обучения, предоставляется скидка в размере 10% за первый курс обучения:

   25% скидка для выпускников Университета Международного Бизнеса при условии вступления в «Ассоциацию выпускников УМБ» и оплатой ежегодного членского взноса;

                      Скидки за обучение сотрудникам УМБ и их близким родственникам:

-  50% от суммы оплаты за год - сотруднику УМБ, при этом стаж работы в UIB должен
составлять   не   менее   шести   месяцев   при   положительной   рекомендации   руководителя
структурного подразделении, в котором работает претендент на скидку;

-  35% от суммы оплаты за год - близким родственникам (первой степени родства- дети,
супруг(а). родители) сотрудника УМБ. с предоставлением подтверждающих документов:

-  20% - близким родственникам (второй степени родства - братья, сестры, снохи, зятья,
внуки, племянники, племянницы) сотрудника УМБ. с предоставлением подтверждающих
документов.

Примечание: 

* Магистранты имеют право воспользоваться только одной из видов перечисленных скидок, кроме скидок, указанных в абзаце А).

** Заявления на получение любой из скидок по обучению принимаются от магистрантов ФППО не позднее 1 октября текущего года, а в случае подачи заявления на скидку в более поздние сроки - скидка представляется с момента написания заявления.

The scholarship – the grant is represented by University of  International business to MA student as a result of competitive selection for stimulation of MA students to higher progress in training, scientific and socially-public life of University.

The university allocates 1 (one) scholarship of  UIB President  (for 10 months from September till June of the current academic year):

The size of the scholarship is appointed according to annual Governmental order  of RК "On the statement of Rules of appointment and payment of the state grants to separate categories students".

The scholarship is allocated for MA student of  the second year of training of the internal or evening form which has:

• high GPA (average point) not less than 4 points on the results of the first year of training;
• positive recommendation of FPVT dean ;
• positive recommendation of the supervisor of studies;
• participation in round tables, scientifically-practical conferences;
• has publications (not less than 2 articles);
• actively participates in  life of the chair (recommendation of the manager of the chair),
• participates in research projects on the state budgetary themes and republican competitions of young scientists (the preference is given);
• participates in PR – University actions on attraction MA students to UIB;
• has no debts on payment for training

The given scholarship is allocated for one academic year, but can be reconsidered by the results of mid-term test on termination of corresponding educational term
