Postgraduate Courses Application Deadlines for Intake 2012
Welcome to the program of double diploma of two universities:
UIB and ISMA (Latvia)
UIB together with Latvian University of Information Technology management announces admission to the program of double diploma for MA students of specialty “Management”
MA students who complete successfully the training course of the program take diplomas of two universities: UIB – specialty “Management” and ISMA –specialty “Business management ”
Two groups are formed: English and Russian
APPLICATION DEADLINE: approximately 1 July, 2011
Program eligibility:
- Good command of English (upper-intermediate) for the English group applicants
- Good academic results (GPA not lower than 2.0)
- Training fees: 1759 for the whole training period
- Departure to Riga University is carried out in the 3d semester (15 teaching weeks) then 4- semester practical training is held in Kazakhstan
- ГАК and master’s thesis defense will be held in UIB (ГАК consists of both sides UIB and ISMA)
Documents necessary to apply:
- Transcripts of postgraduate study for the 1 course
- Application addressed to the Dean of the Faculty postgraduate professional education Gulnara Demeuova
- TOEFL/IELTS certificate if available. Applicants will be required to have passed an English proficiency test in case they don’t have TOEFL/IELTS certificates.

Exchange program for UIB MA students and MA master
UIB (Almaty, Kazakhstan) within international cooperation with Graduate School Of Management (Clermont-Ferrant, France) has signed cooperation agreement:
Clermant-Ferrant Graduate School Of Management and University Of International Business agree to cooperate in the sphere of internationalization of higher education to foster relations between the two institutions and develop academic and cultural exchange in the sphere of education, research and others.
Spheres of cooperation may include any program desired and realizable program offered by one of the institutions to develop and strengthen relations between the two institutions. However, any special program must be implemented by mutual agreement of both sides, on conditions of finance availability and approved by each partner.
The programs may include:
- Student exchange programs
- Teacher exchange programs
- Joint scientific-research projects
- Joint cultural programs
Terms of such assistance and cooperation must be discussed and agreed in written form by appropriate person of both sides before implementation of any particular program or activity.
- The number of exchange students: Each institution agrees to exchange a total of four student units (where each unit means one exchange student who attends during the academic semesters) annually during the academic period of exchange with one semester to one academic year. It is expected that the overall balance of student units can be achieved during the entire period of the Agreement.
- Selection of students: It is expected that domestic institution will select only students with good academic results. The receiving institution reserves the right to final approval to receive an exchange student.
- Credit transfer: domestic institution must consider and decide whether the credits earned by students on their exchange with host institutions, have been submitted for inclusion in the academic records of students in the domestic institute.
- Financing arrangements: Exchange students must remain registered as full-time students for the duration of the exchange and pay domestic institutions the standard tuition fee. They will be registered in the host institution without having to pay fees. But they should be responsible for the cost of living, travel, housing, insurance and other incidental expenses.
- Accommodations: The receiving institution will provide exchange students with all possible assistance in finding suitable accommodation.
- Immigration Formalities: Each institution will have to issue the appropriate documents in order to obtain a visa in accordance with present law, although it is ultimately the responsibility of each individual student in a timely manner to obtain the proper visa.
- Insurance: Exchange students must arrange their own insurance against illness and accidents, covering the period of their stay in the country of the host institution.
- Students’ obligations and rights: Exchange students will abide the rules and regulations of the receiving institution. They will have the right to use most of the academic resources and support services, which are mainly available for full-time students in the host institution.
- Activities on arrival: Upon arrival in host country, host institution will provide exchange students the proper orientation of the host country and host institution.
- Agreement validity: This agreement will be valid by the approval of both parties and will remain in force for three years. It can be completed by either party with one year notice given in writing, and it can be extended in accordance with the mutual agreement, expressed in accordance with a written memorandum of understanding. Any termination of the agreement will not affect the obligations that were already in the process of execution prior to such termination.
- Program management: The International Office of Master Management Development in Clermont Graduate School Of Management and The International Department of the University of International Business will be responsible for the managment of the exchange program, while academic issues will be the direct responsibility of the Faculty of Business Management of Clermont Graduate School and University of International Business.
